REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on of hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy”. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every know illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

HOW CAN REIKI HELP ME?

Reiki balances and works on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual levels

Physical:  the body and manifested pain
Emotional:  what you are feeling
Mental:  what you allow yourself to think
Spiritual:  your capacity to love yourself and others

Reiki works on the cause rather than the effect of dis-ease by:

Treating the disease instead of the symptoms
Accelerating healing, which sometimes causes initial discomfort

How does Reiki feel?

You may feel very relaxed - some fall asleep
You may feel pure love, or see colors
You may feel peaceful or emotional as old patterns surface to be released

What do I do during treatment?  What should I expect?

Remove shoes
Relax and enjoy the treatment.  This is truly your time off from the world
You can talk and ask questions if you choose
Allow your mental mind to release all thoughts and fears so you can focus on the present
The Reiki practitioner works on the chakras or areas of specific pain. There is no improper touch, or touch in sensitive areas
You may experience a shift in consciousness.  This is an important part of the healing

After the treatment:

Your aura is swept 
You may feel energized, or you may feel incredible peace
Drink a lot of water each day for the next three days.  This will flush out your system, and water is very important to the body.
In the case of dis-ease, you might want to examine your lifestyle and make positive, healthy modifications.

Reiki isn't always a one size fits all experience. I am a Certified Master in three types of Reiki healing... Usui, Karuna® and Holy Fire. When you book an energy healing session with me, I typically use a combination  of these three types of energy. No two sessions are alike!
