What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy practice used to support relaxation, stress reduction, and energetic balance. During a Reiki session, you remain fully clothed and comfortably resting while Reiki energy is offered through light touch or hands held slightly above the body.
Many clients describe Reiki as calming, peaceful, and deeply restorative. Some feel warmth, tingling, gentle waves of energy, emotional release, or simply a quiet sense of inner stillness. Every session is different, and each person’s experience is unique.
Reiki is often used as part of a personal wellness routine to help quiet the mind, soften tension, and reconnect with a greater sense of peace, clarity, and balance.

How Reiki May Support You
Reiki is intended to support the body, mind, and spirit through relaxation and energetic balance. Many people seek Reiki when they are feeling stressed, emotionally heavy, overwhelmed, disconnected, grieving, depleted, or in need of a peaceful reset.
Rather than forcing an outcome, Reiki offers a gentle space where the nervous system can begin to settle and the body can rest more deeply. Clients often leave feeling lighter, calmer, clearer, and more grounded.
Reiki may be a supportive complement to your existing self-care, spiritual practice, or wellness routine. It is not a substitute for medical care, mental health counseling, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed healthcare provider.
Reiki and Whole-Person Wellness
Reiki is based on the understanding that we are more than just the physical body. Our emotional, mental, spiritual, and energetic experiences all influence how we feel and move through life.
A Reiki session creates a calm and supportive space to reconnect with yourself on a deeper level. Many clients use Reiki to support emotional balance, spiritual connection, relaxation, self-awareness, and a greater sense of inner harmony.
Reiki does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent illness or disease. Instead, it is offered as a complementary wellness practice to support relaxation, energetic balance, and overall well-being.
How does Reiki feel?
You may feel very relaxed - some fall asleep
You may feel pure love, or see colors
You may feel peaceful or emotional as old patterns surface to be released
What do I do during treatment? What should I expect?
Remove shoes
Relax and enjoy the treatment. This is truly your time off from the world
You can talk and ask questions if you choose
Allow your mental mind to release all thoughts and fears so you can focus on the present
The Reiki practitioner works on the chakras or areas of specific pain. There is no improper touch, or touch in sensitive areas
You may experience a shift in consciousness. This is an important part of the healing
After the treatment:
Your aura is swept
You may feel energized, or you may feel incredible peace
Drink a lot of water each day for the next three days. This will flush out your system, and water is very important to the body.
When your energy feels out of balance, you may notice it emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or physically. Reiki offers a gentle space to relax, reset, and reconnect with a greater sense of calm and inner balance.
What to Expect
This isn’t a spa service. This is your sanctuary.
Your session is designed to feel calm, private, and deeply supportive from the moment you walk in.
When You Arrive
You’ll be welcomed into a quiet, softly lit healing space with a comfortable heated table, blankets, and a nurturing environment.
Noise-Canceling Headphones (Optional)
To help you relax even more deeply, I offer optional noise-canceling headphones with peaceful sound-healing music.
This creates a cocoon of calm, especially if the building is lively or you simply want a more immersive experience.
Most clients choose them and love how quickly they help the mind settle.
During Your Session
You’ll rest comfortably as I guide your energy back into balance using Reiki, SEA Therapy, Yoga Nidra (when applicable), or other modalities.
Clients often experience:
- calm
- clarity
- emotional release
- deep rest
- insight
- a sense of “lightness”
After Your Session
You’ll be given time and space to ground, ask questions, and integrate what came up.
Healing feels gentle, supportive, and deeply honoring of where you are.
